NEW PRODUCT FEATURES ANNOUNCEMENT

For publication from February 1, 2001

VibControl Product Family with New Functions

m+p international’s VibControl shaker control systems operating under Windows NTTM/2000TM offer further environmental test engineering advances. They make the VibControl systems for vibration test simulation and vibration analysis even more powerful and user-friendly.

The transient capture module allows the user to acquire any transient event such as from drop tables, crash tests or pyro-shock pulses. Additional operating modes make this module an ideal tool for measuring, displaying and storing signals in general. Furthermore it is possible to calculate and visualise an on-line SRS (Shock Response Spectra) that is important for environmental test evaluation but not commonly available on dynamic data acquisition equipment.

The sine data reduction mode is designed to measure and analyse data from a sine control test. The sine data reduction function helps the user to significantly increase his channel count by multiplexing the hardware channels available using a reference signal from tape recorded test data. Following an initial test run the user connects additional channels to the inputs of his front-end and starts the playback in sine reduction mode for analysis. The VibControl system stores the analysis for further evaluation. The additional signals can also be evaluated during the test run.

The m+p international’s VibControl product family uses a common software interface for vibration testing applications with hardware front ends ranging from only two input channels to hundreds of channels. This means minimised investment and easy inter-company and intra-company data sharing and thus improved productivity.

m+p international has been building reference class vibration control software since 1986, initially based on UNIX. In 1997, we introduced PC-based control software; it was the world’s first product for environmental vibration test applications running under multi-tasking Windows NTTM. m+p international has two solely owned subsidiaries in Verona, NJ and Farnham, England along with representatives and agents world-wide.
