m+p international announce significant new investment in UK
Following recent growth in their UK business, m+p international GmbH, the Hannover based specialist vibration test and software engineering company have announced that they are expanding their operation in the UK. Their new direct sales and support centre is based in Farnham, Surrey, and will be headed by Richard Lax.
Dr. Walter Klie, co-founder and CEO of m+p, said "the company motto is 'm+p listens to customers' and it has always been the case that close co-operation and support has been the key to our successful customer partnerships. Richard brings a wealth of engineering and marketing expertise to the company and is ideally placed to extend support for existing customers and introduce the benefits offered by m+p to a wider base".
m+p's core product is VibControl, a 4th generation software solution for environmental vibration test simulation. This software is available in both Windows NT and HP-UNIX versions and coupled with HP3565* or HP-VXI* data acquisition front ends provides solutions from entry level, for ESS, to the most complex multi-channel systems, for large structure qualification test. Of course all possible test modes are available from swept sine through to random, shock and simulated gun-fire modes as well as sophisticated reporting tools allowing quick and easy generation of analysis reports based on standard Windows office software.
But it's not just the proven track record of m+p test solutions in the most demanding of applications that continually wins over customers it's also m+p's "investment protection" policy that ensures the compatibility of components across the entire range. This ensures customers not only have one system to learn and maintain for all their test needs but they can also easily and cost effectively upgrade as new test requirements demand.
20 years ago Mahrenholtz + Partner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH was founded by engineers from the Institute of Technical Mechanics, Hannover University, Germany. Specialising in vibration test and software engineering solutions, m+p is now a world wide provider of products and services for vibration and acoustic testing, emissions testing, environmental test simulation and real time monitoring.
In 1992 m+p international was formed in Hannover, Germany and New Jersey, USA specifically to develop and market the company's vibration controller and data acquisition products. Both divisions have won significant local market share within the high performance automotive, aerospace and electronic environmental test markets. The UK base will continue this focused approach offering the company's full range of vibration test solutions.

Richard Lax has an honours degree in Electronic Engineering and has over 25 years of experience in the test instrumentation field including research and development, sales and marketing. Richard was responsible for the development of the worlds first instrument based vibration controller and says of his new role: "I am impressed by both the German engineering excellence and the applications finesse shown within the m+p products.
