The latest update of m+p international's VibControl shaker control
systems offers interesting software enhancements. They make the
VibControl systems for environmental test simulation and vibration
analysis even more powerful and user-friendly. VibControl now
provides a complete solution for time domain replication of field data
on electrodynamic or hydraulic shakers. The powerful graphical editor
simplifies the reviewing and compiling of your field sample data and
ensures test feasibility is thoroughly evaluated at an early stage. An
unmatched range of powerful tools is available at test completion to
generate informative reports.
Typical applications include: roadload simulation, engine vibration
replication, replication of flight recorded vibration such as gunfire,
replication of package transportation vibration data, long-time
transient signal replication (e.g. earthquake simulation).
The newly integrated VibUtil is a powerful tool for automated
functional and climatic testing, allowing vibration tests of identical
or different modes to be executed automatically. Using a time control
function, it is possible to automatically start a second test upon
completion of the first test. Time delays can be defined between two
tests, e.g. in order to wait for a climatic chamber to heat up. Users
are able to receive test sequence status reports ("Test aborted" or
"Test successfully completed") anywhere via E-mail or via SMS.
VibControl supports not only Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows
2000 operating systems, but is now also Windows XP compatible. The
latest release pre-calculates and displays the sine responses of the
input channels and the expected drive after the selfcheck to detect
potential overloads well before test start. Other new features include
over-turning moment notching in sine control mode, storage of
selfcheck results and test logs under the same name and online
integration/differentiation of all measured values during the test run
in classical shock mode.
