There are many commercial services that provide copies of test
standards, at a price, but take a look at

2. Shock and Vibration Q&A forum
================================
http://saviac.xservices.com/disc1_frm.htm is an excellent
question and answer forum for all your vibration test questions.
There is a wealth of information already posted and new questions
get quick responses from some of the USA's best-known vibration
guru's. It looks like the more difficult and interesting the
question the better they like it! There are many more practical
questions too and you can offer your own expertise in reply.
3. Vibration software
=====================
The following vast array of software tools was once offered free
but now has a very small shareware subscription. If you like
doing your own thing then check out
http://www.vibrationdata.com/software.htm You'll see Tom Irvine
features a number of times in the Q&A forum above and is
recognised as one of the leading experts particularly in shock
testing. He's also very approachable if you have a specific
question.
4. EIS exhibition
=================
The one-day Engineering Integrity Society's Instrumentation
Analysis & Testing Exhibition takes place on March 14th at the
Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire (M40 J12) starting

5. ESTECH 2001
==============
The USA's Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology
(http://www.iest.org/) have their annual bash in Phoenix, AZ from
22-25 April. This is truly a massive technical conference and
exhibition. Can your boss be persuaded by the fact that flights
currently cost little more than London to Edinburgh return! Good
luck.
