A scorching September...........
September was a great month for m+p international UK, we took orders
for another 9 controller and analysis systems, 5 of these vibration
controllers were for one customer. This just shows how the company
is growing and how well our systems are received by the engineering
facilities in the UK. Of course this is something that Europe and
the USA have known for some time and with our growing UK support
team is now being fully recognised here. The very fact that one
large facility has ordered 5 systems is a great recommendation for
how our systems perform in a comparative evaluation with other
systems currently available. For your own demonstration or
evaluation system please contact me on

All your Environmental test Software
under one PC cover........
Well we've done it, we can positively claim to be the only company
to develop and supply software solutions that covers such a wide
range of Environmental Test requirements. We now sell software
solutions for all the following areas:
Vibration Control from 2 to hundreds of channels, all
vibration modes, 12.8kHz and 3200 lines
Unlimited Time replication with full time data editing
and user selectable filtering.
Time history signals to Random Spectra post processing
software.
Data Acquisition and Online FFT analysis
Rotating Machinery analysis
Octave Analysis
Modal Analysis
Modal modification and comparison.
Temperature and Humidity chamber control with profile
set up and independent monitoring.
Acoustic control of acoustic vibration chambers.
Transient capture for drop test analysis with reference
overlay.
If you are considering an equipment purchase in any of these areas
please let us know and we would be happy to discuss our solutions
for your application. Please contact

National Instruments Data
Acquisition.............
Have you got any National Instruments 4472 data
acquisition cards ?
Do you use Labview and spend hours writing test
programmes ?
If the answer to either of these questions is yes then we have an
alternative software solution for you .... SmartOffice.
SmartOffice is our modular Data acquisition and analysis software.
Utilising NI4472 cards in either PCI or PXI form we can provide
online acquisition and analysis with full report generation and
active graph export to Word or PowerPoint. Our
software modules include full Modal analysis using
methods developed by Prof. Randall Allemang of the University of
Cincinnati, Rotating Machinery analysis,
Throughput to disk, Octave analysis as
well as the commonly used analysis functions.
If you have the hardware already then that is half way to a fully
developed powerful Data analysis system. Whether you have 8 or 80
channels we can provide the system solution.
SmartOffice even has its own Visual basic fully inclusive user
programming language, so whatever your data you can continue to
develop special routines that would be beyond any normal system.
SmartOffice can even provide you with the most powerful set of
Post-processing tools you have ever encountered. Importing data
from over 20 different systems of most manufacturer makes with the
facility to develop new import routines for any other data type.
Of course we can offer the same with other hardware types too,
Agilent VXI 1432 or 1433 cards, TEAC GX1 tape recorders
are just a selection.
Seminar on MODAL
Analysis and Test Simulation...........
PLACES ARE BEING BOOKED ALREADY........ DON'T DELAY, BOOK
YOUR PLACE NOW
m+p international are holding a one day seminar on
January 22, 2003, the two main topics of this
seminar are Signal acquisition & Modal analysis and
Laboratory Test Simulation. It is being held at
Loughborough University's new Wolfson School facility and will
include a buffet lunch and refreshments.
The seminar will move from the basic techniques and theories through
practical demonstrations and discussion about suggested test
approaches for both MODAL analysis and Simulation.
We have engineers and academics from the UK, Belgium and
Germany ready to provide an informative and interactive
day's presentations.
Aimed at engineers who are involved in either one or both of these
fields at any level or at those who have a new requirement to move
into one of these areas.
The cost of the day will be £95 and this includes lunch,
refreshments and full course notes. Payment with booking!!
An ideal opportunity to access a wealth of knowledge from those who
know the maths and others who have years of practical test
experience and indeed those who know both !!
The places for this seminar are limited, please book now to ensure
you do not miss out on a unique opportunity. For more details or to
book your place please contact Neill Ovenden on 01252 718822 or

EIS - 14/15th Oct
The annual EIS "Simulation, Test &
Measurement Conference" is being held this year at the Jaguar Cars
visitor centre (just off the J5/M6) in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham
on the 14th and 15th of October. To register for the conference
contact Catherine Pinder on 0114 262 1155 or visit
www.e-i-s.org.uk for more
info.
The free exhibition brings together
a wide range of specialist data acquisition, test and analysis
companies so it's well worth a visit. We hope to see you there.
SEE - 16th
Oct
NPL in Teddington is hosting the
SEE seminar "The use and calibration of shock and vibration
accelerometers" on Wednesday 16th September. This should be an
informative day, contact
see@owles.demon.co.uk for a place.
SEES - 16th
Oct
The Swedish
Environmental Engineering Society annual meeting is on October 16th
in Stockholm. There are a number of papers being presented including
"Integration of Modal Testing and FEM analysis" by our very own
Maurice Mergeay. See
http://www.vibab.se/sees/index.html for contact details.
A little later on is the EIS
"Achievements in Noise and Vibration" conference at the Courtyard
by Marriott Hotel in Coventry. This is on Thursday 7th of
November. Same contact
details as above.
and the annual "Vibration-day" held by SVIB (The Scandinavian
Vibration Society) is on November 27-28 in Göteborg.
